Privacy policy
How Local Scaffolding Ltd handles your personal information, in plain English.
Who we are
This website is run by Local Scaffolding Ltd, a family-run scaffolding company based in Hemingford Grey, Cambridgeshire. When this policy says "we", "us" or "our", it means Local Scaffolding Ltd.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we use your information, you can reach us by phone on 01480 582 824 or by email at stefan@localscaffoldingltd.co.uk.
What information we collect
When you fill in our contact form or get in touch with us another way, we collect the information you give us. That usually includes:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (if you give it)
- The location of your project
- Details of what you're asking about
We don't collect any other personal information from your visit. We use Plausible.io for basic website statistics, which is a privacy-friendly tool that doesn't track individual users or use cookies. See our cookie policy for more on that.
Why we collect it
We use the information you give us to:
- Reply to your enquiry and answer your questions
- Quote for your project and arrange a site visit
- Carry out the work you ask us to do
- Keep a record of jobs we've quoted on or completed
We don't use your information for marketing unless you've specifically asked us to, and we never sell or share your details with other companies.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and project records for as long as we need them to provide our service and meet our legal duties (for example, for tax and accounting reasons, that's usually six years). If you'd like us to delete your information sooner, just ask.
Where your information is stored
Your information is stored on secure email and computer systems used to run our business. We take reasonable steps to protect it, including using secure passwords and keeping our systems up to date.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), you have several rights over the information we hold about you. These include:
- The right to know what we have - you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- The right to correct it - if anything we have is wrong, you can ask us to fix it.
- The right to delete it - in most cases, you can ask us to remove your information from our records.
- The right to limit how we use it - you can ask us to stop using your information in certain ways.
- The right to object - you can object to us using your information for certain things.
To make any of these requests, get in touch using the details above. We'll respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, please talk to us first - we'll do our best to put things right. If you're still not happy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of the page. Anything significant we'll flag clearly so you're not caught out.
